Can you give Our Lord one hour THIS Friday?

He said to Peter, “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? Matthew 26:40

Real Presence

Our Lord is waiting for you!

So what is a Holy Hour?

A Holy Hour is a Catholic traditional devotion that began in 1673.  St. Margaret Mary Alacoque had a vision where Jesus asked her to spend an hour once a week meditating on the suffering of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The Holy Hour is typically done in front of the tabernacle where Our Lord dwells.   Or during Eucharistic Adoration, when our Lord is exposed.  You can find Our Lord waiting for you in any Catholic Church’s tabernacle in Sonoma County.

“There He is: King of Kings and Lord of Lords, hidden in the bread. To this extreme has he humbled himself for love of you.” St. Josemaria Escriva – The Way, 538

But I’ve never done a Holy Hour?

No problem.  We’ve made the holy hour easy to attend even if you have never gone to Eucharistic Adoration.

What to expect:

    • Experience the Rite of Exposition with incense and Gregorian Chant
    • Hear a spiritual talk based on the writings of St. Josemaria Escriva on a practical aspect of our faith
    • Pray the Holy Rosary in community and spend quiet time with Our Lord in the Monstrance
    • Receive the graces of Benediction
    • Confessions will be available beforehand.
    • Stay for fellowship afterward

Our Lord is waiting for you in the Blessed Sacrament.

Regardless of your home parish, we would love to have you join us.

You are invited!
