The Eucharist is Our Lord’s body and blood. His real presence. Really?

Our Lord is present in the Catholic Church’s Tabernacles

Jesus is either Our Lord, a liar or a lunatic.  He can only be one.  If he is Lord then you believe what He said:

“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Matthew 26:26

Pretty straight forward, isn’t it?

Yet Pew Studies show that only about 30% of Catholics believe that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ at Holy Mass.

However, since the first century this belief was upheld by the Church Fathers. St. Ignatius of Antioch, in the first century wrote in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans:

“.. the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, the flesh which suffered for our sins and which the Father, in His graciousness, raised from the dead.”

Look at the words of Our Lord and how the Church upheld them from the first century to the current era.  According to St. Josemaria Escriva, in the Forge, # 684:

“This is my Body…”, and the immolation of Jesus took place, hidden under the appearances of the bread. He is now there, with his Flesh and with his Blood, with his Soul and with his Divinity. He is the same as on the day that Thomas placed his fingers in His glorious Wounds….”

Many of His disciples no longer followed Our Lord after his last supper discourse.  Will you?  Take a leap of faith in Jesus.   He said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
